Anthropologist and historian Lilia Moritz Schwarcz follows the research and constructive method of artist Adriana Varejao (b. Rio de Janeiro, Brazil 1964), creating a dialogue between the retelling of her story and the various narrative possibilities entangled in her creative process. In this book, the outcome of a collaboration between an artist and an anthropologist, texts and images are combined in the same space, deepening the relation between art and the anthropological aspects of the European colonization in America, the reconfiguration of the traditional Portuguese tiles, miscegenation and the direct contact with the Yanomami culture, among others.
