Sinopse
Histrias Mestias is an ambivalent and plural anthology that brings together more than 70 extracts of texts that deal with the different narratives of the formation of the Brazilian mestizo culture and imaginary. After two years of research by curators Adriano Pedrosa and Lilia Schwarcz, the publication dialogues with the exhibition of the same name held at the Instituto Tomie Ohtake, in 2014. This collection consists of basic readings for the construction of the exhibition, and brings texts amongst others from Mario de Andrade, Gilberto Freyre, Sergio Buarque de Holanda, Joaquim Nabuco, Manuela Carneiro da Cunha, Eduardo Viveiros de Castro, David Kopenawa, Joel Rufino, Torquato Neto, in addition to the Manifesto Antropofago of Oswald de Andrade.
