Love and Friendship, The Three Sisters, and The Visit: Three Theatrical Plays based on the works by Jane Austen
Sinopse
Have fun performing your own Jane Austen plays with these newly adapted versions of some of Jane Austen’s lesser known works!<br/><br/>Before she became a world renowned author, Jane Austen amused her family and friends with witty short stories and plays. Now three of these are available for you to perform or read at your own Jane Austen party, book club, classroom, Regency or Bridgerton themed party. This book contains scripts for three plays based on Jane Austen’s juvenilia: “Love and Friendship”, “The Three Sisters”, and “The Visit”. "Love and Friendship" is a play script adapted by Lynnae Burton Pulsipher from the epistolary novella "Love and Freindship" (sic) from Jane Austen's juvenilia (not to be confused with the plot of the movie bearing the same title, which was adapted from Austen’s epistolary novella “Lady Susan”). "The Three Sisters" is another epistolary novella by Jane Austen, newly adapted for performance as a play. Both are now in the format of a script including character list and stage direction, with a combination of large and small roles to suit the interests of most groups. "The Visit", a play written by Jane Austen and also included in her juvenilia, is also included in this collection. Perfect for Tea Parties, Jane Austen Society meetings, Readings, Actors, and Drama Clubs Originally created for school presentations and Jane Austen themed parties, these family friendly plays feature word choices and phrasing to be more easily understood in classrooms and party gatherings. Each play can be performed in about 10-15 minutes. You can go all out and perform in full costume as a one act play, or relax and have an impromptu table reading.<br/><br/>Share these lesser known Jane Austen stories with your group today!
